KEEP ROMANCE ALIVE - This project was inspired by a man who was wearing a skirt and walking on 5th Avenue at lunchtime. He was screaming “KEEP ROMANCE ALIVE! KEEP ROMANCE ALIVE!”  Now I ask people “What is your ROMANCE?” Mike Mervilde, the captain, was swimming at 11:30 pm on May 25, 2010 at Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood.  I emailed him that night to ask him what his romance was.  He wrote me, “when I woke up in the morning still hung over I wrote this…  Romance is to me: Being away for too long. Then coming home, and realizing you never want to leave her side again.  It’s doing something I do not like sometimes. Just to see her smile.  A demonstration of the passion you feel towards what your passionate about.  Spontaneity doing something completely out of character. There isn’t enough romance in the world.
